　　Inadults，adenoviruspneumoniaoccurscommonlyinimmunocompromisedhostsincludingpatientswhohavereceivedorganandbonemarrowtransplants，whereasinhealthyindividualsitisrare。成人腺病毒肺炎通常发生于免疫力低下宿主，包括接受器官与骨髓移植者，因而发生于健康个体罕见。
　　AdenoviruspneumoniapresentedwithpatchygroundglassopacitieswithorwithoutconsolidationonHRCTinbothimmunocompromisedandimmunocompetentpatients。免疫力低下或正常患者腺病毒肺炎HRCT均表现为斑片状GGO，伴或不伴实变。
　　Groundglassopacitycorrespondshistopathologicallytoareasofacutediffusealveolardamagecomprisinginterstitiallymphocyteinfiltration，intraalveolarhemorrhage，edemaandfibrin，typeIIcellhyperplasia，andhyalinemembraneformation。Alveolarliningcellsshowintranuclearinclusions，whichispositiveforimmunohistochemicalstaining。
　　GGO在组织学上对应于急性弥漫性肺泡损伤（DAD）区域，包括肺间质淋巴细胞浸润、肺泡出血、水肿和纤维蛋白沉积，II型肺泡上皮增生与透明膜形成。肺泡衬细胞见免疫组织化学染色阳性的核内包涵体。
